How do you all organize your topics and files.....

I brought home all of my files home this summer...I have organized everything but writing. I have put all of my files into binders, example: Language Arts files are in white binders, Science in red binders, etc.

I have organized all of them but writing. I have so many writing ideas, im not sure whether i should organize it according to the topic or the month I use the materials in.

how do u organize your writing files??

I also started organizing my files into binders at the end of last year...I had a student teacher so I had some free time! I began by organizing by month. From there I also have a math binder, writing binder, and a comm. arts binder. I honestly cannot remember how my writing one is organized!

I don't like to use binders because you have to take the time to whole punch everything, and I also seem to fill them up and run out of space. I use hanging file folders.
My school district uses the 6+1 traits of writing. So I have a manila folder for each trait with lesson plans organized that way.
