I would like to have my grade three students do some oral presentations this year, but I'm not exactly sure how to go about it. What kind of topics should I give them for their presentation? I don't want it to be very long, but I want it to be interesting so that they'll have the attention of the other students. Also, should they be preparing this at school or at home? I don't want them to come and read from a paper. I need to know how they express themselves so that I can give them a mark on their report cards. Any suggestions?
Could you do a show and tell? That way they would be talking about something they're familiar with and excited about.
