One possibility for me next year might be Read 180. Anyone teaching this have opinions on it? Do you like it?

I love READ 180. I'm a high school teacher and teach 2 two hour sections (9th & 10th grade). It is a lot of information to absorb at first but once you get the hang of it you will love it too! Every teacher I know that uses has to modify it a little to fit their needs and schedule but it is a great program.

We won't be running that program next year at my high school for reasons I do not know as of yet. I haven't heard anything good or bad about the program but then again I teach math so I don't hear much of what's going on in the English department.

I had it my first two years of teaching, and I did not like it. However, I was expected to integrate it into my regular classroom. Perhaps if I had a section that was just Read 180 I would feel different about it.

If possible, attend some PD on it, there are a lot of great reports and tracking data that you can access.
