Open House

    I have open house tomorrow and I teach a learning support class with a roster of about 12 kids....I wonder if any parents will show up?? What is everyones experience with special ed parents showing up? Also what should I have to give to the parents?? I'm a new teacher so maybe a little background on me?? I'm not sure any advice??:)

    We are having Curriculum night tomorrow night as well. I sent a note home last week telling parents about it (I teach ECSE). I stressed that this was NOT a time to discuss IEPs but rather a time to learn about curriculum. In our schools, though, open house is different than curriculum night. Open House is more like having families come see your schools. Curriculum is for parents only.

    Typically, I don't have very good attendance.
