I use this. http://emeals.com/ I really like it. I don't use it every single night, but it is really helpful. They have several plans, so you can choose from a 2 person menu or a family menu, and then there are lots of choices about clean eating, family favorites, low carb, vegetarian, etc. etc. They give you the menu with ingredients and instructions, and then they give you a shopping list. The list says which day each ingredient is for so if you want to cut off a meal, it's easy to eliminate the ingredients. Basically for me, I print the menu and list each week. I usually eliminate a couple of the recipes, either because we won't be home one night, or because there is something else we might want for dinner. then I just add the ingredients for that recipe onto my shopping list. The recipes they give have never been bad. the worst the have been was "hmm, this is good. I think we could have come up with something similar on our own." Most of the recipes have been "Holy cow this is amazing!" there is a fee for the service. I found a groupon for it and that is why I bought it. I think it is $50-something a year, but I think they have shorter term packages as well. I think it is worth it.
oh, and if you use a national chain, they will tailor the menu to what's on sale. they didn't have any stores that are convenient for me, but this could be a cool feature, too.
