What are some online games that you have tried in your classrooms? I created a simple drawing and guessing game that is fun to play with students called Drawpoly but I'd love to hear other ideas or feedback on Drawpoly!
Well, I think it depends on specific situation, but if they are old enough, I would suggest even something like Monopoly online. Nowadays it's pretty important to find interesting games for each specific age range, isn't it? I've been looking for some cool games for our kids as well, and after some searching, I could discover this game art portfolio from iLogos, which has hundreds of indie games, and every game - has it's unique design and gameplay features. Isn't it great? I wish we had such game developers in our childhood.
Thanks for sharing! I like different online games, and I was interesting to find out which you like. I like some casinos the most these days. I know it is not for classes, but still really fun. Do you play some games like this, guys? I would like to hear more about it from you. Maybe you can recommend something here
Hi guys I am a teacher at an E-learning platform called Tata Studi. I wanted to find out new ways to engage kids during their break time and to make them jell up with each other. All help is welcomed and thanks in advance

I have used this one with my tutor group (I think you call it home room group) https://formtimeideas.com/ Also this one which can also be good for Maths (or Math if you prefer) http://happysoft.org.uk/countdown/numgame.php Finally something I have picked up on this year at the school I am currently subbing at. It requires the kids using their phones in class. https://kahoot.com/
Homo Machina (educate game). This is easily my favorite game of all time on here. Every single game I've played now trying to compare to it falls short. When I played it I never saw it coming, and I had this feeling like I was in control. Greatest game ever, hands down.
My classroom always likes Kahoot. You project the game on the overhead projector, and students can either use a computer (or their phone if it is allowed) to tune into and interact with the game being projected. It is a quiz game, and you can either make up your own questions in advance, or use one of the many pre-made games in its game bank. You post a question on the board, and the students use their computer or phone to choose an answer. After the timer is done, it will show the percentage of students who answered correctly. It keeps track of who answers correctly the most, and that person wins at the end of the game. It is compatible with any subject and is a wonderful tool for review before a test. Beware, students tend to get super excited and quite loud when their answers are correct!
Kahoot, Quizizz or Quizlet. These are probably the most popular resources on which even tests can be conducted. From the experience of using Quizizz, the most interesting of all, since there is a spirit of competition and the time limit is only for your students and their knowledge.
Hey guys just wanted to put this out there. Here are some review games that I've made. I know it can be difficult for teachers to motivate their students at time but with some elbow grease and some imagination you can grab their attention and have them respond better. If you guys have any questions on how to use these template, please don't hesitate to ask
I've used Kahoot! and Quizizz for reviews, as well as Boss Battles in Classcraft. The new one that they LOVE (sixth grade) is Blooket. I agree with SandyeN. When they are having fun reviewing, they get super-loud. For more extended problem-solving and critical thinking, I use Breakout EDU.
I used Quizizz. Online games have always been an interesting topic for me and I have always loved playing them. On the page pokiesman.com/free-pokies I recently read information about Free Online Pokies, which I tried to play I really liked and I advise you to try as well.
Why online games? I understand that children are all in gadgets, but it doesn't mean we need to support this to draw their attention.
Kenton- I definitely agree that we should be thoughtful about promoting screen time. One difference is that these games are played in person in the classroom. The technology facilitates the whole group interaction.
Hi! I am building a tool to support discussion at school with the aim of stimulating children to appreciate both sides of a discussion. Particularly relevant for the humanities & social sciences but it is broadly relevant in any setting whereby discussion occurs. Students would be able to contribute to the 'decision tree' and on any topic - such as 'Who is the greatest president of all time?' and the nice visualization would enable students to 1) get a holistic view of a discussion 2) participate in a group activity 3) continue contributing after class Could you let me know if you would find this useful for your classes?
I like Wordle, Jeopardy, and Kahoot. I like Stop The Bus for offline games. Here are some games I play with English language learners.
I can also recommend looking for learning activities kindergarten children will enjoy here https://wunderkiddy.com/ I like this an a resourse for learning and games inspiration
It's amazing to see how much has changed in the gaming industry since this thread was active. Forza Horizon 3 was a great game and it's impressive that you were able to create your custom car and have it featured in the game. It's always exciting to see unique and customized vehicles in racing games. I wonder if you've had any similar experiences in newer games? Personally, I've been really into open-world games lately, like the Grand Theft Auto series and Red Dead Redemption. It's great to have the freedom to explore a vast game world and discover hidden secrets and challenges. I also love games from joywallet.com that allow winning real money online. I call it profitable gaming.
From the wording of that person's post it sounds like they were trying to promote their own site and maybe it got taken down.
Prodigy sounds interesting, but I haven't used it before. Does the teacher get to control the content like they do in Quizziz and Kahoot? Do you think it is a good site for grade 3?
It is super important for kids to know the basics of Maths. And it is crucial to make learning activities easy, fun and understandable for kindergartners. Online https://wunderkiddy.com/category/mathematics preschool activities can be: Playing virtual games, Thumbs up or thumbs down, Digital toothy activities.
Hello all, Wordsearchbox_com is an online word search puzzle maker that I personally created in my spare time, and I'm eager to get your feedback on it. With full stats available, I am sure its best for any classroom. I encourage you to explore this resource and see how it can benefit you in your teaching journey. Your reviews and feedback would be greatly appreciated. Prashant
Prashant, In order to develop this, it sounds like you have some good skills. I am not looking as much for word searches as I would be for customizable math computation type problems or vocabulary problems. The problem I find with most online math computation is they create worksheets with all of the same skill on a page (example: all subtraction problems). I would like to create ones where I could mix it up so I could have different problems on the same page. I'd pay to find something like this. Could you create such types of worksheets?
For those who really like to learn languages through music there is a website lyricstraining(dot)com that will help with that
I liked your online puzzle maker, but I didn't understand how to create a multiplayer game to use it in the classroom with different students and track each player's progress.
