Hi everyone! For people who no longer want to teach - and those who want to work from home - what direction would you point them? For those who want to stay in education - are there any specific companies/schools that are actually hiring for fully remote/virtual roles? (No driving, no travel) I know that my public school district isn't open to hiring remote people, but I'm wondering about private schools, education companies, etc. who might need people to help with billing, recruiting, customer service, and stuff like that.... stuff that can easily be done remotely by people who work hard & have the skills to do it. Thanks!
I'm pretty sure Pearson has 100% WFH positions. One of my close friends advises college professors on integrating their textbooks with online platforms. Also, there ARE a lot of online schools where you can teach from home.
This is a good point. Pearson has tons of online and very good things. I use it for my math curriculum.
Person is good that it has different directions. I was thinking about trying to apply there, but didn't whant to lose the job I have and get nothing. So I still works at school, however, I also have online side work to check if such online format is suitable for me. So maybe I'll try Person one day. Do you think it's easy to get a job there? Do they have heigh requirements?
I’ve done some work for Pearson through my state education department. I vetted test questions. I did three days in person, then three days at home online.
As for me, I'm a bit tired of school. I have not enough energy anymore. In addition, I want to be free at anytime I need. When you work remotely, you can move whenever and wherever you want.
