...where you stand in front of the mirror and try on every outfit in the closet and realize you don't like ANY of them, even though the pants you are trying on were your absolute favorite only two days ago.

Blech. I just wanted a fun and cute skirt, as it's a beautiful night and we'll be walking around outside. Dh doesn't like my fuller a-line skirts, and my tighter skirts are a bit TOO tight (man, I feel like another cookie...). My pants felt too 'work'. Capris felt too casual. I finally settled on a slightly flared skirt from Anthro that has hidden zebras in it, with a black tank top that I swore was cuter when I bought it (I'm going to be pulling it up all night, as my bra shows in it, but this bra shows in everything, but I want to wear it because it's my push-up... AHHHHH!). And my shrug seems to have gotten larger since the last time I wore it (unlike my skirts/pants...), but it's dresser than the ratty fleece I would wear otherwise.

And my hair-HELLO?? Since when did it look this bad?

Sigh. Sounds like I need a make-over... :haha:

I remember the skirt you're talking about, I like it!

I've definitely had those nights, too. I hope it doesn't put a damper on your evening. Where are you going tonight?

Ah, Jem, welcome to my world!!!

I've had to wear a blazer to school every single day since October, and I really do NOT own that many blazers.

I'm dying to wear some spring clothes, but I'm really afraid that I'll still need blazers even after Monday. If so, I'm in some serious wardrobe trouble.

And I'm constantly guarding against "wardrobe malfunctions."

The same thing happened to me today! We were getting ready to go to dinner and have a HUGE pile of stuff sitting on the floor now. I officially hate everything:( Yuck...
    I think it's b/c I've gained about 5lbs since last fall...

Jem, you don't like ANY of them? Didn't your husband get you that personal shopper a while back who helped you pick out flattering styles you liked?...well, back then you did. :)

I have so many clothes, I don't have to wear the same thing for mos, so I'm bound to have something to wear that I like! But, I still have times where I feel I have nothing to wear!

I have been feeling the same way. I have a closet full of clothes and everything I tried on tonight looked bad. None of my pants are fitting so that is not helping the self esteem.

I am still kicking myself for not getting the zebra skirt. I just thought it was too much zebra, even though I loved it. How was I supposed to know zebras would be "in" this season?:)

The story of my life lately! I gained probably five pounds and apparently only I notice it but I go through so many different outfits unsatisfied at all of them. DH doesn't understand but I notice I look just a little different in my clothes and it really irks me.

Good to know I'm not the only one! I'm sure it was just a temporary funk. I'm usually fine with my clothes. We don't go out with friends that often, so I think I felt the pressure. We stopped at a cute boutique after dinner, and I found so many great dresses. Once Sprout takes off, I'm heading back down there (I'll grab you for lunch, TeacherShelly), and buying them all! :woot:

I recently weeded through my closet, and feel I need to do it again. I do NOT like to have too many pieces. It makes it difficult to put outfits together for me. But then it's also limiting. That, and my closets aren't that large, so when it's tough to move the hangers and see what's on them, then it's time to do a clean-out. And our current clothing budget is at $0, so no replacements at the moment.
