    Holy cow!

When I was teaching before, I would have to google for ideas, then take what I like, cobble together something, print it off myself, add anything extra I wanted and figure it all out myself.

Now people have done things like put together absent work stations, so all you have to do is print and follow the idiot instructions!:woot:

    I love idiot instructions!

Why didn't I know of this before??? My 20 year old daughter had to tell me about it?

Umm, of course having a younger person update me on technology might make me old......

What have you found on pinterest that would help a soon to be full time SPED teacher, (fingers and toes crossed btw)

I'm not SPED, so no help. But warning: hours, many hours, get lost on Pinterest. It is a serious time sucker.

The free stuff on teacherspayteachers is great! Another thing about Pinterest is that if you search for something and you find a pin that you like, you can go to the board it is on and see if other things on that board are good to know. I follow all kinds of people that I do not know and get some great ideas like that.

I have to admit that I actually like Common Core because it means that you can search the standard and find tons of stuff just for that standard. yay. :)

Look for the special education tracking sheet - free on TPT. It's great and so easy to have the whole caseload summarized on one page.

You have NO IDEA how giggly this stuff is making me right now.

It was so hard teaching 2006-2009, when I needed an idea it could take me HOURS to search the net to find things......

I'm off to giggle some more

I held for a long time from joining the site- I knew it had a lot of ideas, but I just didn't want to have to sign up for ANOTHER site to participate in. I made a horrible mistake in not joining it and I now have to be careful to not end up spending hours on there

While we might have to put up with a lot more as teachers than in past decades, I love that we have such wonderful resources to be able to make some great lessons and activities for our students.
