I finally did most of my room. I have been in a PANIC! On Monday I have surgery and will need the rest of the summer to recover. I won't be able to lift or carry anything over 15 lbs and won't be able to lift my arms high... so I had to get everything done now.

It's not completely finished though. I still don't have the right size tables (except at the computer, which I assembled myself) or chairs. So I didn't take any whole room photos.

I have to organize my desk, the kitchen and do all the little things like label their folders.

    Phew!

Your colors are very calming and soothing. I'm so jealous that you are so far ahead of me (in terms of preparation).

    Good luck with your recovery!

It is looking great! You can tell that you have put in a lot of effort to have things organized neatly. I am almost finished with mine and hope to have pictures up soon.

Congratulations and I hope your surgery goes well.

I love your room! Is the stove inside your room or attached? I wish you luck on your recovery.

Nice room...what grade do you teach? Do all the classroom have a kitchen in them?

    Good luck with your recovery!

It will be a 1/2 class (mostly first grade.) Every 2 classrooms share a kitchen and a storage room that connects them. The kitchen has these big double doors that can be open or closed. I often set kids up with paints in the kitchen (carpet in the rest of the room) and I can see them just fine. Most of the time I close the kitchen doors, as they block some noise from my neighbor who sings with her class a lot. I forgot to take pictures of the storage room!

I love the room. It isn't distracting because you've stuck to lots of solid colors. It looks like fun!

Looks great! What are you going to use the little dog-tail hooks for? We bought one that we use to hang our dog's leash, and I was going to get some for my room but I couldn't think of anything I would hang on them.... Good luck with your surgery!

Was that a bottle of wine by the microwave in the kitchen?

What will you have in the fish tanks?

Are you labeling your book bins? How are they organized?

Looks great, colorful, neat and organized.

Good luck with your surgery, have a speedy recovery!;)

    Great job.

    Hope your surgery goes well.

Will you still be able to participate on AtoZ while you recuperate?

Your classroom looks great! I'm very jealous that you have so much wall space!!! All of mine is basically taken up with cabinets, whiteboard, pipes, bookshelves, etc. I would love to have some room to have a big bulletin board and hang stuff up like yours!

No, it's OLIVE OIL! I saw that and wondered who would think it was wine!

There is already a beta fish in one tank, and the other one will have 2-3 tree frogs.

I am going to label the book bins... just haven't got to it yet. The lower shelves are by level and the top shelves are by topic.

    Thanks!!!!

Of course, that's what every teacher needs in their classroom for the end of a stressful day!

Hope all goes well with your surgery, Miss Froggy.
