but I am really ready to go back to school. I've had enough down time. I've had enough of playing referee for my three girls. I've had enough of driving back and forth from multiple camps, swim practices and meets. I've had enough of heat indexes of 110 and above. I have had enough of a lack of structure and routine. I'm done. It was good, it was fun, but now I'm ready for it to be over.

Me too! That's why I was so glad when a teacher who has never taught first grade called and said "HELP! I have never taught first grade! Can you come up to school and help me!" So in between going through things in her room I'm completely redoing my room. Rearranged stuff in my closet and right now my room looks like a hurricane has hit it. But thats ok because I am not at home doing housework or listening to kids fight! I'm in my classroom with the music on!!!! and no one to bother me!!!!!

I know what you mean. I'm ready also. I'm recovering from knee surgery so I haven't been able to do much and I'm soooo ready to get out of the house and get back to my routine.

I am so not ready, but I don't think I'll even be ready when school starts up again in the fall. It's the pure joy of having a little one around the house!

I'm totally ready and totally not ready! I'm eager to meet my students and get started into a routine but being a first year teacher I just feel totally unprepared!

I won't shoot! I'm partially ready... I miss the kiddos, but not the work or the planning, lol!

I am excited about setting up my room and organizing a better library. But at the same time I'm going to set up my room very simple in the beginning so the children are directed to the work that I need them to go too.

I've had a GREAT summer and want more time off, but I report on Tuesday and am kind of excited because I have a new teacher to mentor. He's fresh out of university, very sharp, and so eager. His enthusiasm is contagious!

I am not as prepared as I want to be, but I am bored at home. My husband works and I don't really have much to do. I volunteered for a month, and I already cleaned up the house top to bottom. (Although, I seem to do that everyday too.) I have caught up on everything on my DVR as well.

I have worked on a lot of things to help the school year go more smoothly. I have helped out the principal organize the year a bit better, but I havent worked on what I want to do. I go back on Monday, unofficially, to organize my classroom. I am excited, yet nervous! I will be alone, maybe one other teacher, the secretary, and the custodian. In two weeks I will already be back at work at inservices!

I'm ready, but haven't completed all my "summer tasks," lol. Personally, I wish my district would put all schools on a year-round schedule - they have a couple that have it. Having a break between each quarter would be a nice chance to regroup and breathe!

A week ago, I wasn't ready. I'm not ready to go back to the teaching aspect, but I definitely need a schedule! So I guess I'm a little closer to being ready to go back. I have a lot of things around the house that I need to get done, I just need to force myself to do those "not so fun projects" :) and then I might not be so bored.

I'm almost ready to go back. I have been to school twice this week (even though there is a heat wave and the building isn't air conditioned in the summer). I'm starting to think of procedures I want to change, etc. By the time August 15th rolls around I will be happy to go back.

I'm partially ready to go back, haha. I'm doing pre-k for the summer and I definitely miss my elementary kids and teaching. My pre-k kid's needs/behavior is so severe that I don't really get to "teach" much. I will be excited to get back to that. I've started shopping for my room already and I'm excited to set up my new classroom (we're moving).

However, my pre-k schedule is so nice, I'm not quite ready to go back to working a minimum of 8-5 every day. Right now, I'm working 8-12, and then going home and taking a nap every day because I'm such a night owl and can afford to stay up late/nap during the summer. I also have time to go to the gym every afternoon and obviously more time to just relax and hang out with friends. We start late so I still have about 3 1/2 weeks before I have to be back at work at all. My pre-k is only 2 more works, so I'm sure after a week and a half of not doing anything I'll definitely be ready to head back.

I'm loving my relaxing days with my family and still have some fun things planned for the summer so I am definitely not ready to go back. It's been a really nice summer for us, though the heat this week has been less than pleasant that's for sure.

I'm ready to go back! The beginning of the year is my favorite time. I love planning, prepping, getting my room ready, seeing all of my teacher peeps, meeting new kids, etc. Most importantly, I just need the routine. I get really cranky when I don't have a schedule. My sleeping is totally out of whack. Yep. I am READY!

I am so VERY excited for school to start! I can't wait to report back. Hehe :) I am finishing up my master's degree this next week, and I've been so super slammed with working on my thesis, but as soon as THAT'S done, I can really focus on planning, organizing my room, etc. before the students arrive.

I'm ready to be done being a stay-at-home mom, but not quite ready to be a full-time teacher again. I kind of wish my kids would start school and daycare and then I could have a week or two to myself before I had to go back to school!

already have an advanced degree and I believe that has caused me to get bored easily. I spent so long going to school I am so used to constantly going and doing. When I do have a break, I don't know what to do with myself.

Plus, I love my job and can't wait to get back to it!

My baby was a senior last year. Feels very strange!

I'm sort of ready. I like the routine, am eager to meet my new kids, and I like setting up the room. Not ready to give up the quiet, non-scheduled days of summer. Also haven't finished the books I'm reading yet... Gotta get going on that.

I am excited to go back to school. Can't wait. I have new things to try. I will be a second year teacher and know what to do (or not do) this time. I always heard that the first year is the hardest. I hope it is true. ;) At least I don't have to go through KTIP this year. Debating if I should do science club this year. I am going to try helping out with another club.

I too already have a masters degree that I owe a ton of money on, so I won't be going back to school any time soon. The reason I am bored is because I go non-stop during the school year. Then suddenly, I go from not having any time to myself, to having all the time in the world and being locked out of my classroom. While there are things that need to be done, nothing needs to be done on a time schedule. Have a time schedule keeps me motivated and moving thus keeping me from being bored. If only I could put myself on a schedule at home
