Just found out (3 days before we start) my principal resigned. He had taken the place of @*$&@*@ and I was much happier with him last year. I heard it was personal problems (maybe a relative he takes care of) but my county is rife with politics right now so who knows. The title of the thread is what I said to my coworker that told me about 2 hours ago. Now we are back to square one again. This will make the 3rd new P in three years.:dizzy:

Sorry. Principals don't stick around that long here.

Are you at my school?! We just found out on Wednesday that our principal is leaving, too. He was a good principal, so I hope his successor will be the same.

A few years ago, we had a principal resign three days before school started. The teachers were dancing in the parking lot during the special board meeting. We decided that no matter what happened, things couldn't have gotten any worse. We were right.

Good luck! I hope they find someone good and it just doesn't revert to politics over kids and teachers.

My principal emailed us 2 weeks ago she was being reassigned and named her replacement. I called him to welcome him and he said the announcement was premature - he thinks it will be someone else but that person may be reassigned to the district so we may not find out until back-to-school week. Really?:dizzy:

Good luck with the new P! I hope it works out well for all of you.

I can't believe there are so many Ps that are changed at the last minute! We have a new P who has been in since the middle of June stirring things up making the school the way they want it. It'd be crazy to deal with that one leaving just as school starts!

He just called and left me a message. Said he would see me Monday and give me the real story. Since I work at the two small county schools they may take my principal and let her do both schools but then they really need a BRT to be at one when she is at the other (behavior resource teacher which is really the AP without the salary)
