Just taking a moment to brag. I've been working with my class of 3 yr olds for a month now, and this week I started getting some feedback from the parents. All 3 conversations started like this, "I just want you to know, that since you've been here..." It was at that point I held my breath and waited for the worst, but... All of the parents said things like their kids are really learning, acting better at home, and seem to be acting up less at school. I'm thrilled! To have 3 compliments like this in a 24 hour time span amazes me. It also reminds me why I am teaching.

At the end of the year last year, I got a lot of comments like that...my favorite was from a child whom had had some behavior issues at the beginning of the year. His Mom came up to me at graduation and said, "well, I don't know what you did with this kid this year, but he's like a different child" - of course, honestly, I think he really just matured and grew, but the mom just couldn't stop singing her praises and it made me feel awesome! Congrats to you! Keep remembering those moments on your tough days!
Congrats! You should be proud of your work! It IS why we do what we do...I have had a few parents tell me similar things but I'm in a place where they still leave due to finances and "cheaper" daycare elsewhere. Will they EVER get it???
It's terrific that your parents are taking notice and giving the praises to the right person. We, as childcare providers, so often DON'T get the acknowledgement we deserve. Now, if only ALL parents were like yours...what a world that would be!
That is wonderful. Those complements just conform that you are doing things right. You must feel great. I love when parents give complements. Keep doing what you are doing it is apparently working
