Oh no! I never clicked next on my last CBEST Essay! Will the readers still see what was in the box?

I was proofreading my second/last essay until the last second (foolishly). I was sure I had a bit more time and was about to click "next"
Instead, I got a "you ran out of time" message and then I clicked "exit exam"
Afterward, I thought, "what if the program does not automatically save and only does so once you hit "next" for each question?" In that case, could there be a blank box for my essay#2? ....
This is driving me insane. And now, I am wondering whether I should go ahead and reschedule a second attempt for just the writing portion because I am in a rush. It could take 2 weeks before I even know whether I screwed up.
I am quite confident that if my work did, in fact, save, I would pass.

On CBEST, there is no "save," I don't believe, or "submit' button. Only, "next"

    Does anyone know? Ahh!

Thanks. I think it would be a pretty terribly designed system if not.
A couple others, including the (admittedly otherwise clueless) woman who administered the test gave me the opposite answer though... So, I have been uneasy sine
