I am not a non-fiction type of gal, but I am needing some good non-fiction books that I can use as read alouds in my Language Arts classroom. I teach 7th/8th grade. I would like some very relevant books if at possible. :thanks:

I'm currently reading My Thirteenth Winter by Samantha Abdeel (I think that's how you spell her name).

She tells about her struggles in school with dyscalculia. So far, my students are finding it very interesting and most can easily relate to her struggles, whether they have a learning disability or not.
