Do you hold a teaching certificate?
If your intent is to obtain a teaching job, you might want to consider putting in more information about your student teaching and or educational experience....

    Hi Steven, and welcome!

First, let me thank you on behalf of all of us for your service to our nation.

I really had to hunt to determine what you're elligible to teach-- I'm guessing Secondary History? Make that incredibly easy to find, and if you posess certification, make that easy as well. If an administrator can't find it at a glance, he or she will stop reading.

I hope your cover letter elaborates on all the training you did, and how this will readily translate to a high school classroom. Also, as a member of our Armed Forces, you helped MAKE history, so I'm hoping you'll really emphasize that in your cover letter.

Thanks so much! I can't believe I forgot to put my FTCE in Social Studies under my certification section!

I don't have student teaching experience. In Florida, as long as I have a BA and have passed my FTCE, I am eligible for employment. So if I pack my cover letter with reasonings for my experience, does the resume look full and easy to read or are there areas I should condense and/or remove?

Thank you again for your assistance!

I think that you should put your certification area and any teaching experience that you may have at the beginning of your resume.

I would move the education and certification to the beginning of your resume.
