    (vent)
I worked soooo hard to pass that bloody test and pased it by only 4 points! Now since I didn't find a job, my probationary certificate expired and I'll have to take it again

    or........

$Pony up $4,500 to do an internship for 12wks (money I don't have).

    :(

It expired yesterday so now I had to pay up to have a para certificate for my current job-----anything for them to make a pretty penny. Sigh.

It seems so much harder to get a job doing alt. certification.

I don't know, some people with traditional teacher backgrounds are right there with you. Although the market is better than five years ago, it is far exceeded by the number of new graduates pouring into it. Lot's of sad faces as this school year kicks off, and only some of them are the returning students.

Where in TX do you live? Are you going to study to take the core ec-6? I am going to study for a LONG time before I attempt it.

We are two weeks into the school year and my school has four open positions, and at least one more to be added after numbers are finalized. There are jobs to be had in Louisiana!
