HI, A few weeks ago several jobs were posted on one of our local school's websites. I turned in my packet within 3 days of the listing. I called to inquire a week later. The secretary told me the interviews would not even take place until after Spring BReak nor would calls to set up interviews be until after then--March 26th to 30th. I logged on yesterday to find the jobs had been removed. I called to ask if the positions had been filled and was told no. She stated they pulled them because they had enough people apply and would be calling to set up interviews in the next few days. Is it common for schools to pull the vacancies even before they interview or call to set up interviews?

My schools here do do that. They also have to post all job opening even if they are going to fill them by someone who all ready works for them.
