I really don't like coffee - but I've started to experiment. I want low-calorie, low-sugar, low-cost options to try with coffee. I will definitely have to add something to it besides sweetener. What places have good coffee/latte/cappuccino drinks? How do you make your own?

I really like Starbuck's Mocha Frappuccino Lite. So some easy frozen options that I could make at home would be great too.

    Order any coffee drink "skinny".

Ask if flavored coffees are sugar free.

You can make iced coffee by brewing regular or decaf coffee, add sugar substitute, skim milk to taste.

I really detest coffee, unless you include so much Kahlua that it masks the taste entirely.

Just curious-- why the decision to experiment with something you know you don't like?

    Easy "Iced Cappuccino"

    2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
    1 packet sugar substitute
    3 tablespoons warm water
6 fluid ounces fat free milk
squirt of chocolate syrup - optional

In a sealable jar combine all of the above. Shake till frothy. Pour into a glass full of ice. Enjoy

I don't like coffee unless I have good cream in it. That pretty well defeats the purpose of a low calorie drink. So, I buy flavored coffee, and use a flavored lite creamer.

I am starting to like it. I used to dislike coffee, grapefruit, and dark chocolate. Now I like all of them. Coffee is my newest "like".

And I like foods that fill my tummy, so coffee is a low-cal way to make me feel warm and full.

OH. The full of coffee doesn't last long.

We make frozen coffee drinks by:
freezing coffee in ice cube holders,
placing the desired amount in the blender,
add soy milk until it covers the cubes,
we add 2 Tbsp of sugar (but you don't have to),
if you want flavors put it in here,
    blend and enjoy.

I LOVE coffee!!! If you like soy, I like to get a soy misto @ Starbucks. It's half coffee and half steamed soy. The soy has some sugar in it. I like to get mine with extra foam! And it's not as pricey as a latte!

We make our own "mocha" at home. We brew regular coffee on the strong side and then I mix mine with half milk (sometimes a little cream too if we have it) and two spoonfuls of hot cocoa mix. Hubby gets one spoon of cocoa and 1/3 milk. Way better for you than a real mocha, but I will admit we go out one morning before work and treat ourselves to a real mocha as our "date".

I like coffee, but have grown away from the fancy stuff like mochas and lattes and such. I like just plain old black flavored coffees. I don't care for Starbucks AT ALL because it tastes burnt. Seatles Best is much superior IMO. Dunkin Donuts (in the stores) is good, but overpriced. I like the Archer Farms brand at Target and Seatles Best. My favorite coffee house is a local chain called Scooters. Their German Chocolate flavored coffee makes getting up on Monday mornings worth the effort.
