I'm going to be using the word search generator in the next day or two. It looks great! I'm also sending a link to the handwriting page to our lower elem. teachers, they were looking for something like that to use.

The word search generator supports additional word lists that you can quickly select so you don't have to enter the words yourself. If you have any suggestions for word list topics (and word lists to go with them if you want), let me know. I can add those to the dropdown box.

Thanks, Amanda. I already printed one wordsearch.

You could add standard word lists on any topic included in the AtoZ themes section - animals, insects, plants, summer fun, presidents, holidays, sports, hobbies, family words, synonyms, antonyms, parts of speech, history eras, back to school words, easily misspelled words ... one easy way to come up with lists might be to use the game Outburst for lists of items.

Modern print is now available for the handwriting worksheet generator!

Thanks for the suggestions, Upsadaisy. :) I'll see if I can come up with some word lists. I don't have that game, so I may have to use my brain.

    Hey Amanda:
Cool site. Loved both. Do you know where I could get one for cursive handwriting?? Would love to use it in the classrooms I go into as a substitute. Especially if those teachers have left nothing for these kids to do in the morning!

I'm actually working on a cursive version... I am testing to make sure the letters are connected like cursive should look rather than displaying individually.

That was fun. Is there a way we can share our word lists with you, or save it for the site to use?

There isn't a way to save them yourself, but I would love it if you send them to me. I can add word lists. You can send to amanda @ atozteacherstuff.com.

Amanda, I really like the word search. I just made one for my end of the year booklet with the students' names in it. It was offcenter and wouldn't print the whole thing, but I was able to just copy and past in Word to play with the font side. I LOVE that I was able to do that!

Did you try landscape or moving the placement of the word list? Getting a good printout is the most frustrating thing! You can also adjust the font size in the settings. But in any case, I'm glad you figured out something that worked. :)

Used your site today in a 2nd grade class. :) The manuscript was perfect for them, as the school didn't want them to learn cursive until 3rd grade, which I found a little strange... But , whatever.

Thanks for the connection!! keep up the good work;)
