I am a new teacher and am teaching in an integrated special education preschool classroom. I have four kids in my classroom with IEP's, one more who will start in two weeks (turning 3), and another that I do home instruction with after school. One of my students just moved to the district so within 30 days we have to have an IEP meeting. I am only in my first week of school but want to be on top of collecting data for IEP meetings and creating IEP at a glance sheets with the most useful information on it. What are some suggestions for data collection and IEP organization? What are the most important things (IEP/SPED related) I should be doing at the beginning of the year with such young students?
