I was really disappointed when I didn't find a teaching position this summer. So I began subbing in my hometown. This past Friday, I found out that I was being considered to cover a maternity leave in first grade (my FAVORITE!) The principal came in and watched me teach the students and took notes. Today, I was in the same school, teaching sixth grade, when the principal came in and asked me if I would be willing to be the long term sub for that class, starting tomorrow. Of course I said yes. So tomorrow, I will be shadowing the teacher, and on Wednesday, I will be on my own! Does anyone have any advice for me? I'm so excited, but very nervous! I want to do my best, but it is scary being thrown into a classroom two months into school. Any tips out there?:thanks:
