For the past 2 years or so, I've had fairly bright red highlights in my short, choppy brown hair. I went for my back-to-school cut and colour today and told my stylist that I wanted to try something different. Instead of red (although a bit is still peeking through) I have light caramel highlights and a very dark brown base (still very short--about an inch and a half). It's very different, but I think I'll like it!
I love change! I went for a new look too. Cut a bunch off ( but that won't surprise anyone who sees me, they know I change my cut a lt) but I also changed the color quite a bit. Lighter brown with highlights - looks like I've been hanging out at the beach all summer. Wish that were true! I am sure your hair looks great!! Have fun with new color.
Change is definitely good! I will be going for my back to school haircut in October. I finally found a salon, even though it is in my hometown which is 2 hours from where I got a job, where they have stylists that specialize in curly hair. Very excited to go and get an actual curly haircut, not a modified straight haircut!
I'm attempting to branch out from the "all ponytail" style that I am best known for into something more, pulled back with a clip but not a ponytail LOL. I would die to be able to do bright colored highlights again... I miss my maroon hair that I had in college... =( darn real life lol
I just had mine colored a new reddish/.brownish/auburnish shade. I had bangs added as well, which I already hate. :lol: They will grow out though, right? Meanwhile, I have been clipping them back with bobbypins. I usually get a perm before back to school, but I doubt I will be able to afford it this year. Maybe in October, when things are better financially in our house. COngrats to everyone on their new 'dos!
