So I decide to only teach one grade level instead of 9! I am now teaching kindergarten a mile from my mom's house! I student taught at this school my senior yr in high school. It's so cool!

That's awesome! When I saaw on an older post the grades you teach I thought to myself "what a hard job!!" This should be an excellent switch for you.
Thanks everyone. I have actually already moved home for the summer. So now I need to find my own place to live. Not staying at my mom's for a whole year. My 19 yr old sister would drive me to drink! LOL.

The other place already knew I had a new job before I did! I called to tell them and they already had known. The principal had called for a reference. Yeah bf is happy. Now we need to find some place to live that isn't at our parents' homes.
Oh, Jaime, I'm so happy for you!!! I didn't even realize you were waiting to hear from somewhere. I know K is what you really wanted too. Good for you!!! I'd take you out to celebrate if we weren't a 3-4 hour drive from each other!

Stay there until you retire! yes, congratulations! And I hope you stay there until you retire! I have looked at kdg jobs for years, and it seems that everywhere I go, those teachers have been there forever! Everybody knows them, loves them, respects them...even the rowdy, bullying 8th graders straighten up when she walks by! Once a teacher gets that job, they never leave!

Don't be jealous you are going to love fifth grade. They are so different than kinder kids but they are wonderful!

Okay, but if it really works out for you, I'm sure everyone at AtoZ will sign a petition to nominate you as the new, permanent Ms. Bindergarten in Kindgergarten! I'll start it off! I, Master Pre-K, hereby state JaimeMarie is an excellent teacher, in my opinion, and should be tenured for this position!
It's very exciting! That's kind of how my position is, mine depends on the population/enrollment from year to year. Just take it one step at a time.
