I thought I'd write about a site that you guys may not have considered. I have found one position that I will probably try for that is local to me. My education background is limited, but I'm highly qualified regarding my education. The site is http://www.usajobs.com - this is the website for all of the agencies of the federal government. There are education positions available in different agencies, NARA (Nat. Archives), Dept of Interior (National Parks, etc) and others. Just an idea, not necessarily a classroom setting but you are preparing lessons, programs, curriculum to send to teachers, etc.

Another possibility is Adult Literacy education. Our local community college has positions available for teachers for these classes, whether GED or Citizenship classes, etc.

Just wanted to share this info in case you have not considered this before.

Great idea! I'm not sure why I didn't think of this before and post it. I worked for the govt. and used to give out this website all the time. They have quite a few teaching jobs posted for Native American reservations.

You can narrow your search by location or agency. Good luck to you all!
