In my school, rainbw loom bracelets are the biggest craze....they are bracelets made with colorful rubber bands. I have about 6 or 7 that kids have made for me.:)

    What's hot with your kids?

    My kids love these too.

All the girls are way into head wraps-head bands that really suck up to your head.

I really like them too. They stay on my odd-shaped head!

My daughter hasn't gotten into them yet, but those bracelets are big here too.

No fads here, not that I can think of. I still cringe to remember Silly Bands (or was it Bandz?)

We don't have that rainbow loom thing. Our girls are still into mustaches. Boys don't have a specific trend right now.

I've never even heard of those rainbow bracelet things!

I teach the little guys, so it's pretty much all about Hello Kitty and Disney princesses for the girls and super heroes for the boys.

I just got the rubber band bracelet maker for my daughter. She was thrilled. I'm sure it'll go the way of silly bands and kooky pens in a couple of months...

When I worked at the teacher store, we got tons of requests for these this past summer (almost every day). We weren't able to get the in for some reason, but all the kids at school have them.

Yup, rainbow loom is big here too, both at my kids' middle school and at the elementary school I work at.

The headband look is big with my daughter's school (thinking it's the same type headband kc is describing and hair in a pony tail) but not where I work.

I haven't noticed the rainbow bracelets. My girls are into jewellery in general and the boys are into monster trucks. Nothing too 'faddish'.

I first noticed the rainbow loom a few days ago so after reading this post yesterday I was on the lookout for one and saw several today!

Do they bring the loom into school?

My kids know that toys are to be left home, though my youngest is 10.

Silly bands have made a big come back. I think they're hideously tacky, but the kids love them. I don't know what they're called, but there are also these large, big "90s" sunglasses that are all the rage.

Yup, we have the bracelets too. All of my girls are wearing them, and I even saw a boy or two with one on ("boy" colors, of course). Toys R Us has been doing in-store events lately on how to make them, so I'm sure that has driven the popularity!

My youngest daughter has spent part of the weekend making them as gifts for some of the girls and boys in her class.
