New CTE Teacher

    I'm a first year teacher who will be teaching Business Information Management and Financial Math starting in the fall. Because these are elective courses, the principal is pretty much letting me completely design the curriculum for the classes. While the creative part of me is excited about this, I have never taught before and I feel pretty overwhelmed at where to even begin. Does anyone have any resources that I could look at to get lesson plan ideas for these classes? Or any tips for a brand new teacher trying to figure out everything on where to start?

    Do you have student teaching experience or any background working with groups of students - classroom aide etc.?
