Hi, I just started my new job as first an assistant teacher and then as soon as I complete my CDA, a head teacher. The group I am with is a 'challenge'. The teacher doesn't follow through with her discipline and since I am new I really don't know what to do or expect. I am only there part-time and am a bit worried...any suggestions?

I would say that you take charge when you are there. Kids learn quickly who they can get things away with and who they can't. As soon as you start as a lead teacher, I would begin new - even if it's the same class - going over rules and routines etc. I'm not absolutely sure I answered your question. Hope that helps!
