    Hi,
Our school is doing a multicultral program using Wee Sing around the world. My class is doing Scotland. I have done some research and have found little activities or ideas for our classroom. We have to decorate our door, hall bulletin board, and classroom. The problem I am having is that I am drawing a blank when it comes to the decorating part. I have had students bing in two Scotland Flags, plaid material, and a cut-out of bag pipes. We have to do a scotish craft too. Please, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions pass along.

Can cooking count as a craft? Your class could bake scones. They are easy to make, delicious, and authentically Scottish.

Or, you could have students make their own tartans using complementary colors, or just warm or cool colors.

Some other decorating ideas could include castles, Nessie (the Loch Ness monster!), Greyfriar's Bobby, Highland cows, and double-decker buses.

And don't forget the Royal Flag of Scotland!

This sounds like fun. I'll add more if I think of any. :)

Is the Loch Ness monster a Scotland thing?

How about something on the clans and their tartan?

Can you split your class into clans, have each come up with a tartan and a Coat of Arms??

Hi! :) My class has Scottish pen pals. If it would help, I would be happy to ask my teacher-friend if it would be alright to share her email address with you. Just let me know. :)
