My students have a range of moderate/severe disabilities - mostly with cognitive impairment. They're upper elementary grades and have limited reading abilities.
We've got some games, puzzles, art activities, and Leggos. The Leggos are enjoyed by all kids. I want to add to our choices. We've had some indoor recesses and I'd like to get some items to increase their social and leisure skills.
Any suggestions? I'm looking for activities and things (toys, etc.) that are right for the ages but also level of development (8-12 years age/3-5 development). Any ideas?

I did my student teaching placement in a similar class set up (mod/severe). My students were in grades 3-5, but the cognitive levels were the same. The students LOVED a cash register with fake money, and a Spongebob memory game.
