    Hi board,

I start each chapter by asking the kids what questions they have always wondered about in regards to the content. I post these in a special spot in the room, and as we go through the chapter, if we find an answer, we take the questions down. At the end of the chapter, we have to figure out the answers to the questions that are left. I am stumped on one. Can anyone help?

If the space shuttle were to take a live plant to space and somehow then put it through an air lock so that it is let go into space, what would happen to it? Would it "blow up" like human tissue?

    Thanks,
    Trina

That's a good question. I would expect so, yes, and for similar reasons: there'd be a decided imbalance of pressure inside the organism as opposed to outside the organism.

That is a very interesting question. I'm anxious to hear the answer to that.
