    Hi,

I just finished putting all of my books away in their baskets, and noticed 2 of my history book baskets are thin....

    Industrialization (post Civil War)-1900's

    and

    1900s- WW2

Does anyone have any book suggestions for these baskets? Fiction or non-fiction is fine. Thanks so much!!! :2up:

Dear America and My Name is America have some great historical fiction books.

The Journal of Ben Uchida by Barry Denenberg (12 year old prisoner in Japanese internment camp)

The Journal of Otto Peltonen by William Durbin (boy works in iron mines in 1905)

Dreams in the Golden Country, The Diary of Zipporah Feldman (Jewish immigrant in NY in 1903)

Number the Stars by Lois Lowry (WWII in Denmark)

    Lily's Crossing (WWII in NY)
