Here's my situation. I moved out of the area to teach for a few yrs. Decided last summer to move back to my hometown. The problem is that I still can't find a job here. During the past year I subbed in a school district and took someone's maternity leave in another district. I have experience but haven't gotten the interviews. My parents (both educators)think it is because my resume has been out there for yrs and places interviewed me before I had my experience so they won't give me another shot. My mom has told me I need to go in and speak with principals but I'm intimated by them. Should I give up hope and move to a different part of the country where the need teachers? I really don't want to move again but I in my thirties so I really need the job. Help!
