Anybody have a fun activity to do with middle school kids which relates to American history in the Gilded Age or 1920s. I am working at a camp this summer and I need a 1/2 hour activity which is fun. Any suggestions or links would be very appreciated. Thanks

See if this website can help!!! If not, try google searching "Gilded Age lesson plans" or "1920s lesson plans"

Also, what camp are you working at, I would love to work for a history camp???

When I was student teaching, the teacher had the students learn some of the 1920's famous dance moves while listening to classic 1920's music. Then the next day they "danced" to modern day music. For homework they had to compare the evolution of music. I thought it was really creative.

Also, she had her students pick stocks to invest in and then each day they would roll dice. The dice determined whether they made money or lost. Even numbers = +4, odd = -$
