I am going to be apply for a couple positions, one of which has asked to include my NCLB Certificate of Compliance. What is this? I received my credentials in 2007, and have all NCLB requirements built into my credential, or so I thought. Do I just submit a copy of my teaching credential instead?
LOL. I had that same question. One person said that my transcripts and credential should prove the NCLB compliance. That's about as much as I know (not much, I know).
NCLB compliance in California would mean that you've passed the CSET that goes with your credential. Or taken the required classes while getting your degree. I would think your department head would be able to tell you how to prove compliance. If you have to take the CSET, your test would be the Math CSET. http://www.cset.nesinc.com/ Just follow the link to Subject Matter Requirements on the left side of the website.
Hi - thanks to those that responded. However, I'm still uncertain what I should do. I received my Preliminary credential in 2007, and my Clear in 2008. I have taken the Math CSET (along with the MS CSET, The RICA,and the CBEST), and I have a Masters of Education and participated in Commission-approved teacher preparation program to get my credentials. I'm pretty sure I should have all my bases covered by now! But who do I go to go get this form signed? My principal? We're a charter school and don't really ever deal with the district. Can I get show my transcripts and recent credentials to the school I'm applying to? I REALLY want to apply to this place, but I also want to make sure I include all that's required in the application!
