    Hey all!

I teach a 7th grade literature class and we're reading mystery/horror short stories in February. My partner teacher and I would like to read a novel with that genre as a class.

Does anyone have any suggestions for an age appropriate novel that would work with 7th grade?

    Thanks!

What about an Agatha Christie novel? The sixth graders in my school read And Then There Were None. That's the novel most of them talk about when they get to seventh grade.

I teach 7th grade LA, and I will be teaching House Of Dies Drear in May. The students love it because they think it's a scary story, but it turns out to be historical. There is also a movie to supplement the boook.

How about a classic Edgar Allen Poe story?

Oooooh, those are some great ideas!

I'm going to get a couple from the library to take a look at and see what the other teacher thinks.

    Thanks everyone!!

If anyone has another suggestion, please send it my way!
