So today I found out my P quit.

I am hoping this will lead to positive changes.

Of course since it is a Charter, they are not hiring a replacement, just giving someone else more responsibility.

Please pray it means good things to come!

Maybe she needed more time to go clean her floors...

I'm sorry, that was just mean! But funny!

Wow!! That is bad!! A friend of mine was just hired as a principal at a charter school 2 days before teachers would report to work. About 2/3 of the staff had left so she needed to hire teachers before school would start a week later. There was no AP and the only one who could help her was her clerk, who by the way was not very friendly. On top of that, she is in charge of payroll and processing new hires paperwork along with other duties that are usually handled by human resources.

Needless to say, she struggled greatly and many times she was about to quit. She's still hanging in there but it was a very rough situation she was put into. I wouldn't blame her if she quit.

Thinking of you! It sounds like it may be for the best, but there's going to be some major adjustments. Hopefully those who get the shift of responsibility also have a decent perspective of what's important and what can wait a day.

    I hope things improve now!

It is awfully early in the year to do without a position.....

My department alone has lost two GenEd and one SpEd teachers since school started. So far, no administrators, although one assistant principal retired at the end of the summer.

Oh wow, that's bad! We had 3/4 of our staff leave last year at my old school, including the principal. I couldn't imagine the principal and 2 teachers leaving this early in the year!
