I like it! I would love a classroom with carpet!

Lots of KU stuff! Now I see why that's your name!

    Caesar - Thank you!

lbradley - Yes, I def have a KU theme! I have seniors, so college comes up quite a bit. Most of my students are either KU fans or KState fans, so it is fun.

Oh, and the carpet! Yes! I love it!

When can I move in? I love it!

I'm seriously jealous of how many bookshelves you have.

Chebrutta - Thank you! The short bookshelves under the board were made by students a long time ago (in wood tech class) and all English teachers got 3 or 4. The shelves on the wall are lovely! The classroom next to mine has 3x as many wall shelves (but no counter storage).

    Thanks, STG! :)
I had that last year and a very serious student raised his hand and said, "you know calm is spelled clam, don't you?" I said, "yes, that's what makes it funny." Then, the remainder of the class, in unison, said, "oooohhhhhhh, I just noticed that!"

    It was VERY funny! :)

I love your blue floor. I get so sick of my plain white floor--it looks like the desks are just floating in the Matrix.

Our science rooms have beautiful white tile floors. I think they are gorgeous, but I do notice that sound bounces around tile-floored rooms a lot more than in our carpeted classrooms.

How much do you charge, and do you do math rooms?

Excellent, though I suppose since you're in the middle of the USA, I doubt getting you to come over to the East Coast for the task would be a cheap undertaking.

Thanks! I also love how cozy your room is :) You've inspired me to get a poster and pennant from my alma mater. I love, love, love my college so it'll be nice to have some stuff up!

What you're seeing on the black/white board is bulletin board border (but I cut off the wavy edge). Last year, I used the blue (painters) masking tape on my black board and it came off very easily. I didn't use it on my whiteboard (just didn't need to).

BUT, BUT, BUT, I did ask my wonderful custodian before putting masking tape on my board to see if she thought it was a good idea. She told me, "oh, I can get any sticky stuff off of any surface." Keep in mind, I have the world's BEST custodian!

I found it at a little boutique in Wichita. But, there is a very similar one at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Vat19-Frog-Tape-Dispenser-Green/dp/B0011ZJKZY

I googled "frog tape dispenser" and there are a lot! :)

I have an entire desk set (but my husband has them):
    Salmon stapler
    Lobster staple remover
    Pelican scissors
