There are still a few things left for me to finish in my room on Monday, but if I don't post these now I won't have time later. I start this week with kids (Wednesday).:thumb:

Very cool room! I liked your table point set up. I have been wondering how I was going to do that this year. Last year I used marbles, but that was way too much work. I also liked your drawing of a clean desk!! Goodness knows I have had problems with that every year!!

So, if you don't mind, I am going to once again "steal" from you and set up a tablet point system like you have. I had already "stolen" your idea of behavior management only I am using football. Do you happen to have a website? I seem to remember you did, but I would like to post a link on my website if possible. That way I can give you credit! :)

    Neat and organized, msm!!
Love that you can have your own microwave and fridge! I would have NO self-control with a jar of Hershey kisses though!:D

Ugh, I have no idea why I put the kisses so close to my desk. Most candy is fine for me to ignore, but not the kisses. We'll see how I do on day one. LOL

Steal away Teachgrade5, if I'm not mistaken the desk poster was from someone here. The idea of putting their sample wok on clip boards so I'm not always stapling or pinning holes in the walls was from a 2nd grade teacher at my school. I don't need any credit for the work you put into your room, but I appreciate the thought. My link is below, I will be updating the photos today.

I see a desk organizer in the picture with the fridge - I have this same large square rotating organizer and am still wondering the best way to use it. Can you share what you have in it or what it's used for in your room? Thanks!!

Sure. I keep a set of 8 dry erase boards in part of it. Each student has one at their desk, but I like to keep a set near my table for small group. I also have my ELD manual back there because I do small group work with my English Lang Learners back there. I have binders (LA and Math) with small group ideas linked to the LA series and math chapters in there. I have some file folders that I keep their small group work in as well.

Basically I keep it near the big table because everything in it is used for various small groups.

I really like your room. It looks huge, you have two desk! WOW! One of my fav things about your room was the example of how the students desk should look. I may have to make one for my room.

push pins through the little hole at the top. This way students can take the board down, put their papers on correctly then put it back. Can't have crooked papers on the wall. :dizzy:

BES2010, I got that idea last year from someone here. I'm not sure who it was, but I loved the idea because I HATE a messy desk. :)

Super nice. I've done the desk examples before. I'd be curious to teach sixth graders for some reason...

Nice layout, and lots of room for the kids to move around.

Sorry I didn't see this before asking. So I take it the wall is not cement/brick like it appears to look in the pic?

I absolutely LOVE the clipboards! I now have to search for a spare wall in my room to put some up!

The clip board wall is on a pre-made Bulletin Board attached to the brick wall.

The At Bat is how every student starts the day. They starting fresh. Good choices move the forward to Base Hit or Home Run. Bad choices result in strike 1 (warning) strike 2(detentions) strike 3 (You're out-Referral).

Ms Jasztal, I thought it was your idea (desk example), but I couldn't be sure. Loved it and thank you.
