Nice pictures- while my desk will never be, has never been, that clean. I may have a hissy fit if someone covered it with glitter- I HATE regular gillter. You see it for months!

Thank you. :D Actually, I have one more piece of wall space that I'm working with. That area will be my science and social studies area.

It's all on my website. Now, unfortunately, there are a couple of links that don't work. I goofed and forgot to put them into the correct files and I haven't gotten around to fixing it. But, all of the links to the skeleton one work.
So, here's the link for the book report projects:

Oh, and regarding the template for the skeleton, a different teacher made those and posted it online. I don't know where I found it, but I do know there are some pieces missing. I believe the hands are missing. Anyways, I had to make another page of templates for my kids. I copied them onto construction paper to make it more sturdy.

OH! and I also blew up the template. I felt that they were too small.

Last question: What is homeworkopoly? I got the idea from here:
    http://www.teachnet.com/homeworkopoly/index.html

BUT, as you can see, I redid the board. I made it smaller. Mainly, because there were some spots that I didn't want. Also, because I only have them play once a week, on Fridays, and it would take them forever to pass go. I have the rules and directions on my site, just scroll down to where it says Homeworkopoly Directions:
    http://www.aesd.edu/to/nutting/teacherfilecabinet.htm

These are some ideas for my community lunchbox cards and chance cards (free homework pass, get a drink of water whenever you want, choose PE game, Whole Class Reward! 10 extra minutes of recess, Whole Class Reward! Lunch in the classroom, read book to class, pass Go!, No name on homework pass... that's all I can think of at the moment.)

I had a parent say that I'm doing a great job and they like me better than her daughters teachers from the past. Apparently, I am nicer, and have more fun projects for the kids. What's so funny is that I have no clue what I'm doing :D Really... my room looks great, but what the heck am I supposed to be teaching them

I did all the grunge work. I researched and found all of the cool things out there and put them to work. Homeworkopoly, young einstein club, the book reports, etc are all going very well.

Stop at every yard sale and look for books. Small church thrift shops have cheap books. Scholastic book club is also a great place.

Peachy, you're awesome!! For someone who posts how worried you are about 5th, it appears you are doing a fabulous job! You answered my questions about Young Einstein and the genre labels...now, could you send me the format for your book recommendations? I also have this, but I LOVE your bulletin board!! Mine is currently on an empty book shelf. I am being observed (no stress, but want to impress all the same) the week of October 29th. I would greatly appreciate it!! One more idea for your empty space: we do Math Masters in our grade level. We give basic math (our weakness) timed tests once a week. The math master gets all 100 correct in 3 minutes. They love to get their name on it, and once they are a 'master", they get a certificate! Another good source is Willoughby-Eastlake's schools technology site. They have a link for a Math Millionaire game. My kids LOVE this!!

OMG when do you find the time to do all that! I love it! great ideas. Hope you don't mind, I think I will copy them all. Love the fairy dust, don't think the fairy can find my desk, so I wont be getting any of that.

My kids remind me that all the time.

The time to do all that? Well, first of all, I spent my whole entire summer vacation planning for my new grade. I was then given only 2 days, yes 2 days, to set it all up. I'm still rearanging things in my room. Heck, Friday morning I decided to get rid of my computer rolling thing and moved around 2 tables. Underneath one table were 3 bins of books I never got around to and my classroom pet, my lovely spider. Then, class started and they came into a big mess. Hee hee. But, I promised them that it will look nice and pretty again.
