Looks awesome! I can't believe that you still find neat ways to make your room look even better every year!

They are our district emergency codes.

Code Yellow--Students are to stay in the classrooms. We don't change classes. We use this code for power outage, drug dog in the building, some medical emergencies.

Code Red--Teachers lock their doors, cover the window in the door, pull the window shades, and the kids take cover. That's our extreme emergency code. We ignore fire alarms, etc. Nobody into or out of the building.

Code Orange--It's what we use to evacuate the building. That is the code we added after having a bomb threat the first week of schools. We had NO plan in place, and we had to stand outside for a couple of hours.

We also have a "code purple" for state department people in the building during testing. We did that one as a joke, but we actually used it last year during testing.

I really like your room! It's so organized. I like the "Today's Agenda" magnet and the "Who's Out" board. I may have to borrow those ideas:)

That's where I get most of my ideas. I'm always on the lookout for new stuff to add to my classroom. Each year I keep the things I like and try new stuff. By the time I retire, I might have it just like I want it.

I bet we have the same thing happen... Former students come back to visit and go all over the room saying, "Aw, man! You didn't have that when we were here!" :)
