My classroom is mostly ready. I have to take my betta fish tank & all my plants, and I have light filters and a few more labels to add. I’ve had a red & black classroom for the past four years, so all the color will take getting used to. I think I’ll like it once I’m used to it. Right now it feels like another person’s room.

    Here a link to pictures.

Cute! I especially like your signs... I'm a sucker for organization. It's nice to see how others do things.

Have you started working already or are you going in by choice?

We did three days of curriculum work at the end of the year, then I did a day with my grade-level partner today. I have to go back July 29. Open house is August 1st. Kids return August 6th. I had to get my room done because two of my teammates and I are going to Colonial Williamsburg for a workshop all next week.

I don’t function well in disorganized spaces. I’m a fan of anything organizational.

It looks great! What do you use to hang on cinder block? We moved into a new building and now have those, but I'm not sure what is best.

I LOVE seeing REAL pictures of teacher's classrooms. What grade/ subject do you teach?

I love seeing pictures of other teachers' classrooms. Your classroom looks great. I especially like the lights on the ceiling. What are the pink index cards on the chairs for?

Love it! You have quite a few things our fire marshall won’t allow. ☹️

Lucky kids! Is that a music stand I see at the front... or did I just think of an upcycling project for a standing desk?

Where is your school? We don’t start until September, I’m just curious about the difference in calendar.

This is inspiring. I suck at organization but admire it so.

They’re labels with my name and room number. My desks have rubber balls on the legs, and they weren’t cheap. I have 35 of them, and I want to make sure I get them back each year when they move desks. I currently have 11 desks elsewhere in the building because I am under 24 kids per class. My desks are still labeled.

That’s my podium. My dad made it years ago. I do let kids use it for a standing desk when I’m not using it, though.
