There's really no point to this entry... Just thought I'd share that I've spent the past two days priming and painting the slew of cubbies/storage shelves in my classroom that the district makes instead of buys. I've had them as raw wood for the past 2 years.. and finally had time to paint them.. (I still have two more to go ) So far I've painted: *16-student cubbies unit *5-shelf unit that was my science storage, but will now hold my math manipulatives *6-cubby unit that hangs on the wall (to hold extra kleenex, clorox wipes, ziploc bags, and other things) Still need to paint: *6-cubby unit that use to hold my math manipulatives and will now be a storage center for student things (extra scissors, glue, paper, etc) and will have the turn in trays on top *3-cabinet system that will hold games for Fun Friday and items that I don't use, but don't want to throw away (pack rat much?) -- This one will be placed on top of the 16-student cubbies unit and screwed in for safety
I always use spray paint when I'm doing classroom stuff. I have a shelf I need to paint too. I'm just not feeling it.
My arms hurt a lot... and so do my legs. I've been in my room all week. My right shoulder REALLY hurts, and my feet are burning from moving around a lot. Also, when my mother and I were organizing today, we tripped into one another. I feel pretty beat up right now...
I feel your pain! I bought a hand-made wooden kitchen set from a daycare that was closing and have spent the last week disassembling it, palm-sanding and painting it. My back is killing me! But, wOw, am I soooooo super happy with how it looks yay! Hope you feel better soon!
