My aide is going to be taking off three days before and one or two days after memorial day (her daughter (who's in her 30s) has some medical issues and will be having surgery) and my aide is in a wedding. Anyway, she thinks her sub is going to be MY KINDERGARTEN teacher. I'm so nervous. I know stupid right. haha but I'm going to have MY kindergarten teacher in MY kindergarten classroom. Ok that is my nervous vent.

Jaime, I know that you will do your teacher proud! I'm sure that she'll enjoy watching a former student teach. :)

My second grade teacher still works at the school. And the principal was my fifth grade teacher.
My 3rd grade teacher is in district some place. My first grade teacher passed away. I'm not sure where fourth and sixth are now. I think fourth is retired and sixth I have no idea.

A lot of my teachers still work in the same grade level or in the district. It must be weird for you, but I'm sure you'll be okay.

That is funny :) At lest you know she has experience with kids! I haven't thought about my kindergarten teacher. I wonder if she is still teaching, she was young when I had her for a teacher. I always wonder about people who end up on the same team as the team they student taught with. It must seem strange to go from s/t to full time colleague. I would have loved to stay at my s/t school, but it was a long drive!

I actually subbed in my pre-k teacher's classroom as her aide a while back. For me, it was a dream job...I hope it goes as well for you, having her as your aide! (I'd be nervous too...it's much easier to be you're teacher's aide than to have her as yours!!)

I subbed for a college class not too long ago. Now, the prof for this class was one of my math professors (and the reason I went into statistics) back in the dark ages. So, I'm up front, teaching HIS class when HE walks into the room. I froze. I wasn't expecting him to show up. He was supposed to still be downtown...that's why I was there. He looked at me and said "go on". I was soooooooo nervous to teach in front of him.

Another time at the college, I was the facilitator for a workshop that many of my former professors attended. That was also nerve wracking. (If you haven't guessed, I work for the same community college where I did my first two years of undergrad)
