I'm seriously so crushed. My full-time aide is quitting after this year! She told me this morning and I felt so blue all day.

At first I thought she was being reassigned to another room/grade level, but the reason is that she is getting married this summer and her SO wants her to quit. :(

We're like a team, so of course I'm bummed. I really enjoyed having her in the classroom and I'm sad to see her go. It's tough because we had became great friends this year and she was phenomenal with the students.

    :(

I hope she isn't quitting just because her SO wants her to.

Here's a good way to see it: You have a few months to talk her into staying,

...she is. He doesn't want her working anymore so she can be a SAHW because he wants her at home all day.

Lol! I actually have never met him although she has shown me his texts and pictures of him.

Not to get into details, but they are in a taken in hand relationship. She seems happy. I just wish she would reconsider :/

This type of relationship just wouldn't work for the majority of married people I know. I hope she fully understands what she is allowing him to do to her. Best of luck to her and I hope she has a wonderful marriage.
