How do you instruct it? Do you find creative ways of introducing the facts to the students?

When your students come to you, how well do they have a grasp of it from previous grades? or :crosseyed or :tired:

Although they learned them in 2nd and 3rd grade, mine have usually forgotten most of their facts by the time they get to fourth grade. We spend some time reviewing facts and I make them pass a timed test (they take it until they do). The first few times they take it, we do it in class. Once most of the class has passed it, I make students who have not yet passed it take it during recess (it's a 3 minute test). That is usually enough incentive for most students to learn them quickly.

I think my test has 40 problems. I have different versions so they aren't taking the same test every time they take it.
