I have been teaching for 5 years at one district and have recently gotten a new job at another district. The school that I will be working at has placed me in a multiaged classroom. The principal says that this is the first time they have done this in her school. I have heard about this type of set up, however I am having a hard time visualizing the logistics of how the class will flow. I will be in a 1/2 classroom.
    Any advice?

    Anything will help.
    Thanks

Is this a multi-age (for more than one year... as in the kids stay in the same classroom for first and second) or is it a split class (just for the year due to numbers)? My advice is different depending on this :D.

    I teach a 1/2 multi-age class.

That is what I have been thinking. I know that the principal was happy to hear that I have looped before and wants me to do this again. However, she did state that I would be teacing both 1st grade and 2nd grade objectives. I am not to sure if the principal even knows exactly what this is supposed to look like.
