I am moving from BSIP to 3rd. I am not sure what the teacher is taking as we are switching positions What are some resources and ideas you can't live without (teacher resource books, activities/games, procedures etc)? I have some stuff as I taught 1-3 resource room.
My favorite two resources are Mailbox Superbook and The Mailbox Yearbook. These are two books that I could not live without. The give quick and fun ideas to get the skills taught.
I agree with the Mailbox Superbook. I also love the Everything for Early Learning, Grade 3 book. I sent you a message on fb...I will definitely have some stuff for you!
I agree about the Mailbox Superbook. I have the 4th and 5th grade one and when to a local teacher store this afternoon and picked up 3rd grade. There are TONS of useful ideas in the book and it is worth every penny.
You may want to check in the school library to see if they have a mailbox or bookbag subscription - these are two very good magazines.
I could not function without Units of Study for Primary Writing by Lucy Calkins. If you want to have a reading/writing classroom, this is a MUST have.
