Does anyone have a good movie that I can watch next week during Chemistry? I kind of want it to relate to science or chemistry or be educational in general.

Fat man and little boy is the only movie I show in chemistry. It has a nuclear chemistry theme.

Gifted Hands shows a boy that dislikes school, who develops a love for Science and becomes one of the top surgeons in the world. It should be on Netflix

October Sky is more about rockets, so probably more physics than chemistry. A great movie though.

Both are appropriate for high schoolers.

Lorenzo's Oil is more biochem than straight up chemistry, but it's one they probably haven't seen before. It stars Susan Sarandon and Nick Nolte as the parents of a boy with a rare genetic disease that has no treatment or cure, so they take it upon themselves to research it and try to develop one of their own.

I'm a biology teacher, so that's all I've got for chemistry!

Our chemistry teacher (in summer school) showed us Contact. Not chemistry related at all, but it was one of her favorite science related movies. It made an impact on me. I show it to my 8th graders every year.
