My husband and I are talking about going to a movie this week, we are both off. Any suggestions? I saw the posts about Benjamin Button but that isn't really our taste. Thanks.

Are you into Science Fiction? I took my son & nephew to see THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL. They loved it. I'd give it a thumbs up for no profanity or sex whatsoever. Rated: PG13

I wanted to see the movie, The Tale of Despereaux, but they weren't interested in watching that one.

What about the Will Smith movie ... I think it is called Seven Pounds. I haven't seen it (my husband can't stand watching movies with strangers) but I've heard good things about it.

I saw Valkeryie.. it was pretty good. Could have been much better but it was still good and worth the money.

I really want to see Slumdog Millionaire. It got great reviews and is nominated for a bunch of golden globes (best picture, best screenplay, and best director) so I'm sure it will be a hit. That is more of an indy film so it's not as widespread as the typical blockbuster.

Yes Man (Jim Carey) looks good too if you're looking for a comedy... though I'm going to wait til its on DVD

Slumdog Millionaire, Doubt, or the new Clint Eastwood movie. I want to see all of these movies. People I know have seen Slumdog and the Eastwood movie and have raved about them.

I'm struggling with this, too. DH and I are going out for my birthday on Friday and we NEVER get to go to the movies... so I want the one we choose to be really good. I'm leaning towards Seven Pounds, I think...

I just saw it on Christmas. I agree that it was a good movie and it is a tear jerker.

I remember once, my BF & I saw 3 movies in the theatre in one day! I remember The Man in the Iron Mask was one of them...forgot what the other 2 were off the top of my head.
